Welcome and Happy Birthday to Baby Ellie!

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to take some newborn photos of baby Ellie, who was born just three days before our photo session.  Ellie is child number two for Ashley and Justin, following older sister Addison by about 22 months.  As you might guess, Addison is very excited about the arrival of her new sister, though also still trying to figure out just exactly how she is supposed to interact with a baby.

I was lucky to be the photographer at Ashley and Justin’s wedding, and since then we have done regular photo sessions, including another newborn session with Addison, and several session since then.  It is always so much fun to keep up with what is happening with the couples whose weddings I photograph, especially as their families grow.

The Dreagers have been a joy to work with, and this session was no exception.  Unlike our newborn session with Addison, who decided to be wide awake and generally fussy for her session, Ellie slept almost the entire time.  And when she did wake up she had a snack and quickly went back to sleep.  Ellie even cooperated when Ashley put a ribbon on her head, something that big sister Addie refused to tolerate during her photo session! 😂
