Catherine and Steven’s Engagement Session at the Botanical Garden

Once again I lucked out with the weather on this session, with a pretty much perfect August afternoon.  Catherine and Steven are getting married in just a few weeks, and we had been trying to find a good time for much of the summer to do an engagement photo session.  At last things lined up that we were able to finally meet and take some photos together.

After discussing possible locations for the photo session, Steven and Catherine thought the Bellevue Botanical Gardens looked like a great possibility.  We met at the Garden in the late afternoon, just as the sun was finally starting to descend.  The late afternoon lighting was a bit harsh from a photographic standpoint, but it did a wonderful jor of highlighting all the colorful flowers and plants in the Garden.

I have been to this location many times, and always enjoy taking “newbies” who are visiting the Garden for the first time on a tour of as much of the park as possible.  Which is actually not very easy since it is a substantial park with a lot of great things to see.
