Simran and Ravdeep Get Married at the Bellevue Courthouse

I am still working on catching up with my Spring weddings and engagements, so I apologize for being slow to get this wedding online.

As with many of my elopement weddings this year, this came together rather quickly, with the couple only contacting me a few weeks before the wedding date. The wedding was planned for the Bellevue Courthouse, a location where I have only done a handful of weddings as most of the local elopement weddings take place at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse.  But I love the Bellevue courthouse.  It is a much more laid-back location, with a lot fewer couples making use of it.  Which meas there is never any waiting to see a judge to perfoem the ceremony!

We planned to meet before the wedding at the nearby Bellevue Botanical Garden, probably my favorite location in Bellevue for outdoor wedding and engagement photos.  It’s simply a gorgeous location year-round for photos. The day of the wedding we met at the park about 30 minutes before the wedding appointment, which would give us time to get some nice photos of the couple and their families before we needed to go to the courthouse.  You’ll see a selection of those photos below.

Once we finished at the Botanical Garden, we hopped into our cars and made the quick drive to the Courthouse.  As usual, it was very quiet and we were the first in line to see a judge for a wedding.  We all moved into the courtroom and things got underway.  If you have never been to a courthouse wedding, they are quite informal.  The judge helps the couple fill out their paperwork, and once it is completed moves right into the ceremony.

At the conclusion of the ceremony I got a few more photos of the couple outside, and then they were all off to a dinner in Seattle!
