Yesterday I had the fantastic good fortune to be the photographer at the wedding and reception of Jeff Crandall and Jeaux Rinehart. The men were married at St. Dunstan’s of the Highlands Parish in Shoreline, and then everyone drove to Lake Union where we climbed aboard the Waterways Cruises boat Emerald Star for a 4 hour cruise around Lake Washington and Lake Union.
I’ll have a lot more to tell you about the day in my blog posting of the entire wedding day, but for now I wanted to at least get one photo from the day online to whet your appetites a bit. This photo was taken at the south end of Lake Union. The captain of the Emerald Star steered the boat into position so we had a great view of downtown Seattle, and then held the boat in position as we gathered all of the family and guests on the rear deck of the boat so we could take some photos of the entire group who had attended the wedding and reception.
It isn’t easy to get that many people into place at one time, the phrase “herding cats” immediately comes to mind. But since the boat is a relatively limited space we were finally able to get everyone into position and get some shots. This is one of my favorites, I hope that you like it too!
