Happy First Anniversary Wishes to the Balloon Wedding Couple!

With Covid having shut things down for more than a year, it is fun to look back at some weddings that took place either before Covid took over all of our lives, or at those rare weddings where the couples simply decided that they were not going to allow Covid to dictate their behavior.  This wedding is one of the latter.

Christin contacted me only a few weeks in advance of the wedding.  She and fiance Jean were planning their elopement wedding, but due to Covid she was not sure whether or not it would be able to happen.   The wedding was to be held in a hot-air balloon, and while she and Jean were ready to have the wedding regardless of any restrictions, it wasn’t certain what attitude the balloon company had about the situation.

I immediately told Christin that I was “in”!  I had never even been in a hot air balloon before, much less shot a wedding in one.  We discussed the plans and it all sounded fantastic to me.  The only question, and it was a big one, was whether the wedding would be able to take place as planned.
