Happy Third Anniversary to Kim and Jake!

Three years ago today I was the photographer at the fantastic wedding of Kim and Jake, held at the Lake Wilderness Lodge in Maple Valley.  I remember this wedding like it was last week instead of three years ago, we lucked out with absolutely perfect weather after a week of less than desirable weather (it rained like crazy!).  The great conditions allowed an outdoor ceremony on the lawn, right on the edge of the lake.  This venue is one of the “hidden gems” for a Seattle area wedding, a very cool old lodge built in the early 1950s, and that was acquired by the city of Maple Valley sometime in the mid-90s.  The lodge has ample space for both an indoor ceremony and reception, but when the weather is good the huge lawn along the lake, featuring a great view of Mt. Rainier, is truly a picture perfect place for a wedding ceremony.
