Here are a few photos from the 2014 Puget Sound Buddy Walk, run by the Down Syndrome Community and held on October 5 at the Seattle Center. To see the entire set of 200+ photos please visit my Picasa page. The photos there can all be downloaded free of charge, and I welcome and encourage you to do so. These photos are high enough resolution to print to at least an 8×10. If there are any specific photos that you would like in higher resolution just contact me and I will send you the file.
Once again some members of the local Star Wars costuming people from the 501st Legion of Garrison Titan were on hand and made themselves available for photos with the kids (and a lot of adults too!). The Rat City Roller Girls were also there and were another popular photo opp.
I don’t know what the official attendance was for the Buddy Walk this year, but it looked to me like the biggest crowd ever. When the actual Walk began, I was amazed how many people were involved, had to be well over a thousand. And we lucked out with a gorgeous fall day, perfect conditions to hang out in the sunshine and make some new friends.
Tom, these were great pictures of the Buddies. you captured what the Buddy walk is all about- friends and family!
