I want to wish a very Happy First Anniversary to Tori and Andrew, married on May 21, 2017 in a costume wedding at the Thornewood Castle in possibly the coolest (and most fun) wedding I have photographed in more than 35 years as a wedding photographer. Click on the link in the previous sentence to be taken to my blog post of their wedding.
This was a crazy wedding! It was a costume wedding, with the theme based on the Dresden Files book series. I have been a Harry Dresden fan for years, and when Andrew contacted me about being their photographer and told me the theme I immediately told him that I was in! He was both surprised and pleased that I was familiar with Dresden and we quickly determined that I was the right fit to be their photographer.
To make it even better, the wedding took place at Thornewood Castle, a real English castle that had been transported to its current location in the early 1099s where it was rebuilt brick by brick. I had photographed several weddings at Thornewood before this one and I absolutely love shooting there.
The entire wedding party and both families (as well as quite a few of the guests) came in the appropriate attire, and there was a great selection of wizards, vampires and faeries.
There are a few photos below, but I really do hope that you’ll visit the original blog post where you will find a LOT more photos as well as a full run-down of the day’s activities.
